Overview
The Asia Pacific section of this Special Interest Group was established during the Asia Pacific Wonca Regional Conference in Christchurch, New Zealand in 2000. Membership is open to all who have an interest in promoting health and behaviour change in the Asia Pacific Region.
Mission
Promoting health through Behaviour Change
Objectives
* To foster communication, networking and collaboration among family medicine practitioners/general practitioners and organisations who are interested in behavioural change projects in the Asia-Pacific Region.
* To develop a resource for health practitioners to educate about Behaviour Change with a particular emphasis on the implementation of practice-based strategies that promote Behaviour Change.
* To develop a resource which encourages health practitioners to have a more 'global view' of health and in so doing, improve their ability to effect the infrastructure of health promotion in their society.
