This paper discusses a multi-faceted approach to meeting the needs of people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups in rural communities. This approach is being developed within a RuralAccess Project funded by the State Government of Victoria. Initially, the RuralAccess Project was piloted in four rural centers in the Grampians Region. Following the success of the pilot, the scope of the Project has increased greatly; it is now being implemented in an additional twenty -one rural locations across Victoria.
