The Conference
has been planned to include opportunities for social activities that
will enable delegates to share experiences and get to know others
involved rural health from around the world. One of the important
aspects of the rural health movement is that although individuals
often live and work in scattered areas of the world, they face many
common issues. There is a growing sense of a global rural health community.
While some delegates
will be able to catch up with old friends, for many the Conference
will be the start of new friendships and networks.
