CE MEDICUS - Centre for Professional Continuing Education and Learning
CE Medicus™ is a rich repository of case-based clinical problems for health professionals that has been made available as a free educational service to Wonca and Global Family Doctor users. CME credits may be available after successful completion of designated programs. Check with your licensing board, local regulatory body or college/academy to determine if they will accept ACCME statements of credit for their CME.
The information below is to help you navigate through CE Medicus.
When you exit Global Family Doctor to go to CE Medicus via the link at the foot of this page, you'll arrive at a special welcome page for Wonca users that offers site registration (or login once registered) OR you can sample the library of cases before registering. You can review the features of the site by clicking Virtual Tour in the registration box.
To sample the library, follow the instructions:
- Select Your Profession (for most GFD users that will be Physician)

Search by keyword OR select a topic from the Browse Activities list. We recommend the latter, and that you select Family Medicine.

Then click Submit. You'll see a list of activities.

When you've appraised what’s available, and wish to review an activity, select one by clicking Start Now.

The next page includes a description of the activity and provides details about its accreditation.

To proceed, click Continue at the foot of that page. You'll then be asked to register (or login if already registered).
When you register, your preferred username and password will be recorded, as well as your name, address, email and place of licensure.
If you're working in the US or Canada, select your state/province of residence and licensure from the drop-down lists. If you work elsewhere, select 'Not Applicable' at the end of those lists. In subsequent screens you'll be invited to record your licensure period, select your curriculum and add activities, which you would do if you're eligible to claim CME credits, and wish to do so. Wonca is in the process of developing additional Wonca-initiated CME programs and credits for members, which, when expanded, will serve members' needs and expectations for learning even more.
CE Medicus provides access to thousands of hours of CME in hundreds of topics and specialty areas. You may select as many as you wish. It has many other features you'll discover as you become familiar with it.
