The theme of this Conference, "Quality General Practice in the New Century", reflects our attention to quality practice and our belief that family physicians should be the key to the achievement of equitable, cost-effective, relevant and quality health care services. The conference is organized by the Chinese Society of General Practice and the Chinese Medical Association, under the auspices of Wonca.

The scientific program will cover many relevant topics through a wide range of invited lectures, papers and workshops. English is the official conference language. The Scientific Committee welcomes abstracts and papers, which will be grouped and reviewed into four main categories: practice, research, training and management, and presented as plenary lectures, symposia, workshops, free papers and posters. Participants will learn much about the Asia Pacific, one of the most rapidly developing regions all over the world. They will share and learn about the challenges and constraints many countries face in providing health care to all and the growing importance of general practice in helping meet people's health needs.

As the most populous country in the world, China has a wealth of beauty and history and culture going back thousands of years to share with the visitors. Beijing has been a capital for more than 700 years. From the best preserved ancient palaces to fabulous dining and entertainment, you will find it all here.
