Dr Dora Patricia Bernal Ocampo

Dora Patricia Bernal Ocampo is an experienced medical professional with a strong commitment to the field of medicine. Born on April 17, 1956, in Cali, Valle, she has built a distinguished career. Her academic journey began at the University of Valle, where she obtained her Medical Doctor degree in 1981. Later, in 1987, she specialized in Family Medicine at the same institution.

Throughout her career, Dora Patricia has made noteworthy contributions. Since June 1, 1991, she has served as a Medical Specialist at the University of Valle, where she also initiated her journey in Institutional Health Services in 1990. She gained leadership experience as the Manager of COMSALUD Cali from 1990 to 1995, further expanding her extensive expertise.

Her dedication to education is evident in her role as an educator at the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Valle since 1998. She is also a founding member and current Board Member of the Colombian Society of Family Medicine.

Besides WONCA and CIMF, Dr Bernal actively participates in international medical organizations, including the International Association of Health and Rural Medicine. Furthermore, she serves as the President of the Colombian Association of Scientific Societies.

With a solid academic background, extensive professional experience, and active involvement in various medical societies, Dr Bernal is a dedicated healthcare professional, leader, and educator, making significant contributions to the field of Family Medicine and the broader medical community.
