This group aims to support WONCA's vision by harnessing the potential of integrative medicine for universal health coverage and sustainable development goals. They seek to provide a platform for doctors who practice traditional medicine, improve awareness of evidence-based modalities, and enhance physician confidence in discussing and differentiating between treatment options. Their objectives include advocating for integrative medicine, evaluating research to develop guidelines and policies for family doctors, educating healthcare professionals through workshops and online modules, promoting safe and evidence-based holistic care, sharing information and best practices, and collaborating with the WHO. The group has already taken initial steps by submitting workshop proposals, developing a webpage for knowledge dissemination, and utilizing the WONCA membership portal. Their ultimate goal is to contribute to the advancement of integrative medicine in healthcare.
