PHCPI: If Health Systems Could Talk

In 2018, at the Global Conference on Primary Health Care in Astana, Kazakhstan, world leaders reaffirmed strong primary health care as the cornerstone of universal health coverage and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Alongside this historic milestone, the Primary Health Care Performance Initiative (PHCPI) partnered with several countries to launch the first-ever Vital Signs Profiles: an innovative tool that provides an actionable snapshot of strengths and weaknesses of primary health care in the health system.

Three years later, at a pivotal moment for health systems everywhere, PHCPI is excited to share a new digital report highlighting data and lessons from the first 23 Vital Signs Profiles, called “If Health Systems Could Talk: Illuminating the Vital Signs of Strong Primary Health Care.”

The need for strong #PrimaryHealthCare is greater than ever! Through qualitative and quantitative data, PHC Vital Signs help countries see a complete picture of their health system & make targeted improvements.
