WONCA experts join “Let’s talk primary healthcare”
The WHO European Centre for Primary Health Care hosts a monthly talk show called Let’s Talk Primary Health Care. The show is targeted at policy-makers, influencers, implementers and health managers primarily in the WHO European Region.
These dynamic, conversation-style, actively moderated, 1-hour online events explore a given topic related to strengthening primary health care.
The panel typically includes 1 moderator and up to 4 guests who are either primary health care experts or national/subnational decision-makers/implementers from Member States of the WHO European Region.

The latest episode of #LetsTalkPrimaryHealthCare took place on Tuesday, March 7th, from. The session focused on the challenges facing primary healthcare and featured a panel of experts, including Dr. María Pilar Astier-Peña, family doctor and WONCA Executive Member at Largewho shared her own experiences.
The panel was moderated by Dr Melitta Jakab and Dr Joseph Figeras, and also included Dr Katherine Rouleau, the Global PHC lead for the Office of Health Systems Partnership at the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto, and Dr. Kristina Zutielene, a family doctor and assistant professor at the Lithuanian University Hospital Kaunas Clinic in Lithuania.
This is not the first time that WONCA experts have collaborated on these broadcasts.

episode “Priority setting of PHC services during the pandemic”, which aired in April 2021.
