A couple of years ago I wrote on WONCA membership, and thought that I would return to this, to update members on which organizations have been admitted to WONCA membership in this biennium. WONCA now boasts over 130 Member Organizations in around 150 countries and territories and represents some 600,000 family doctors globally.

What a busy few weeks!! Since last I wrote I’ve been in Geneva, for World Health Assembly, then on to Krakow for the WONCA Europe conference and then to Warsaw for a meeting of the WONCA Executive. After that it was off to Toronto, to undertake a Program Accreditation visit at University of Toronto, before heading away for some much-needed leave time.

For our CEO, Garth Manning, it has been an especially busy period of late, with the World Health Assembly closely followed by the WONCA Europe conference, in Krakow, which was then followed immediately by the WONCA Executive meeting in Warsaw. Meanwhile, having also been at the WONCA Europe conference, I reflect on the great enjoyment of attending WONCA Conferences.

This month, the CEO reminds everyone of the arrangements and timetable for Seoul, and encourages everyone to make their travel plans for an excellent event in a fascinating city. There are multiple events before a WONCA World conference - WONCA Executive, WONCA Regional Councils, WONCA World Council, WONCA Working Party meetings, Special Interest Groups meetings, Young Doctors' preconference. The culmination is the WONCA World conference.
