Prof Nobu Ban writes: The venue of the WONCA Asia Pacific region conference in 2019 is Kyoto, Japan. Kyoto is most well known in Japanese history as being the former Imperial capital of Japan, for more than one thousand years, as well as a major part of the Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe metropolitan area. Kyoto attracts many people due to its natural beauty and cultural heritage.
