This month I want to return to the theme of WONCA conferences and events. These are important landmarks in our calendar, as they afford a great opportunity to meet up with old friends, to make some new friends, and to share areas of interest with colleagues from all around the world.

WONCA Europe comes to the beautiful city of Krakow in May 2018. Find our more about the seven keynote speeches and note the early bird registration ends February 28.

On the 26-27th January, 2018, the 5th Vasco da Gama Movement (VdGM) Forum took place in the beautiful city of Porto, Portugal. “Stronger Together: charting the course to navigate the future” was this forum’s topic. The program and all activities related to the forum, were designed to promote teamwork and also to be a showcase for new, alternative ways to structure and to organize a conference.

The WONCA World conference is coming to Seoul, Korea from October 17-21, 2018. Registrations are open, some keynote speakers are announced, and abstracts are still open for oral and poster presentations.

What’s new about the 23rd WONCA Europe Conference coming to Krakow in May? We have new Key Note Speakers of the Conference: Dr Anna Stavdal - President of WONCA Europe, Dr Przemysław Guła, Prof Sara Willems. Early bird registration ends 28 February.

We invite you to 15th WONCA World Rural Health Conference at New Delhi from 26-29 April 2018. Registration and Abstract submission is open for all. Last Date for Abstract Submission is 31st December.

Early bird registration closes December 31, 2017 and abstracts are open only until December 17, for WONCA Europe Kraków. Prof Adam Windak, Conference Scientific Committee chair, speaks to the WONCA editor about this conference and comparisons to the previous excellent one he help organise in Warsaw in 2011.

WONCA's next world conference comes to Seoul, Korea from October 17 - 21, 2018. The theme of the conference is “Primary Care in the Future: Professional Excellence," and will cover diverse disciplines of family medicine from the present to the future.
