Dr Namatovu Jane Frances (Uganda)

Dr Namatovu Jane Frances is a dedicated healthcare professional and educator based in Kampala, Uganda. With a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to the field, Dr. Namatovu has made significant contributions in family medicine, research, and medical education.

She holds a Master of Medicine in Community Practice/Family Medicine and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Makerere University. Dr. Namatovu's academic journey started at Mt. St. Mary’s Namagunga, and she has continued to enhance her skills with various training programs, including international primary care research and medical education.

Dr. Namatovu's career spans over two decades, including roles as a dental surgeon and lecturer at Makerere University. Her passion for community health and education is evident in her extensive research, which has been recognized in peer-reviewed publications. Her commitment to medical education is reflected in her supervision of graduate and undergraduate students' research projects.

Beyond academia, Dr. Namatovu actively contributes to the community. She has been involved in community sensitization and empowerment for health issues, including Ebola preparedness. Dr. Namatovu's dedication to healthcare and education extends to her role as the President-Elect of WONCA Africa Region, where she continues to make a positive impact.
