An interview with Professor Job FM Metsemakers - Secretary of WONCA Europe

Professor Job FM Metsemakers generously agreed to be interviewed by the WONCA editor, in Vienna, in July 2012. He has been secretary of WONCA Europe for five years. This interview ended with the editor asking why WONCA colleagues might be interested in Job’s story. Job’s reply was: “After all, I am just an ordinary guy….”. But most WONCA colleagues are not ordinary, so we leave it to the reader to decide.
WONCA Europe Bursaries for WONCA World conference 2013 Prague

WONCA Europe is calling for applications for bursaries for the WONCA World conference 2013 Prague. The bursaries will support conference registration, accommodation and travel to a maximum of $1,000 per person. The bursaries will be available worldwide in competition to any family doctor or resident in a family doctor programme, who can make a case for such a bursary and who is supported by their own College or Association.
WONCA Europe Vienna closing keynote video and more photos

The closing keynote address for the WONCA Vienna conference was replaced with a play, written and directed by Dr Carl Steylaerts of Belgium. A video of the performance is now available for online viewing. The WOnca Vienna conference site now hosts an extensive gallery of photos of the conference.
Dr Pavlo Kolesnyk of Ukraine - Montegut Scholar

Dr Pavlo Kolesnyk, from Ukraine, reports on being the second European Montegut scholar. His scholarship enabled him to attend the WONCA Europe Vienna conference in July 2012.
